These are Why You Cant Let Depression Win the Battle.

by Foras Aje

When dealing with the problems of daily life, we may have the desire to just give up and give in to depression. However, there are some reasons why we just shouldnt resort to that.

1. Family – It can be very hard on your loved ones when you are depressed. Inasmuch as they may be concerned and want the best for you, the very well may at times wonder why you cant just get over your problems. It can be particularly hard on children of someone with depression as it may affect their outlook on life for many years to come. Remember children are wonderful imitators and may very well reenact what they see their parents or older siblings constantly engaging in.

2. Work – Have you ever heard people say:”Leave Your Personal Problems at home…!” It is more difficult to concentrate and not as easy to create and maintain good professional working relationships and partnerships. Furthermore, it makes being motivated to even work more unlikely. As a result complacency or even failure at work tends to become the end result. 3. Love – The love life of a person with depression can suffer tremendously. If one allows their personal problems to be the core challenge for both parties in the couple, it can become very demanding. Needless to say, this can hamper a healthy sex life thus adding additional strain to a couples problems.

4. Health -”As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”; “Guard your hear for it is the wellspring of your life”. These are two cryptic statements that say a lot. Research has shown that people who are depressed tend to have more hospital visits that those who are not. That considered, it goes without saying that one has to fight the battle with depression to keep ones health intact.

Overcoming depression can help your life in many ways. You become stronger, do better at work, have better relationships, and can focus on what is really important in life so that you can improve it, for yourself, your family, friends, and loved ones.

So dont give up hope when it seems you cant deal with depression. You can and success at it can be yours.

In Friendship,
