Anxiety and Depression is Caused by Bad Diet

by James ONeill

You are what you eat. Food it so so important! What you eat determines the quality of your mind, energy, life and emotions. According to yoga there are 3 types of food that correspond to three types of energy or human nature. These are Sattvic, Rajasic and Tamasic foods.

Tamasic foods include all types of junk food, refined sugar products, processed foods, meat, alcohol, tobacco, fermented foods, vinegar or stale and overripe foods. These foods cause…

Depression and Anxiety
Darkness of Emotions
Withdrawal of Energy
Ignorance and Attachment
Inertia and Lethargy
Dullness

Rajasic foods are spicy, hot, bitter, salty, dry and sour. They also include caffeine, tabacco, chocolate, strong herbs, celery, carrots, hot chillies, onions, garlic, fish and eggs. Rajasic foods have the quality of…

Restlessness and Overactivity
Anxiety and Impatience
Passion and Desire
Anger and Greed
Delusion and Jealousy

Satvic is the pure energy. Satvic foods include fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, grains, nuts, seeds and cereals. They have a light effect on the body and mind. They are pleasant, sweet, nourishing, pure, soft and attractive. Sattvic foods produce…

Energy and Health
Peace of Mind
Serenity and Clarity
Love and Happiness
Lightness and Cheerfulness
Purity and Love

Making your diet completely Satvic will put an end to your anxiety and depression

The goal for someone who wants to loose weight, become healthy and free from anxiety and depression is to go completely Satvic. Satvic food is full of life for the body, mind and emotions. You need to…

Drink only pure tap water and lots of it, to wash out anxiety producing toxins from the body.Your urine should be purely diluted. It may take a few months to completely wash out anxiety chemicals from the body.
Giveup Tabacco, Alcohol and Cafeine. Replace it with herbal teas or decaffeinated tea.
Giveup junk food and anything with Sugar.
Dont buy any foods that are packaged, tinned or processed.
Avoid food with labels that have have E numbers, hydrogenated fats, and words that you cant pronounce.
Limit the amount of meat and spicy foods you eat.
Start eating fresh fruit and vegetables. Have a high quality organic vegetable box delivered from you local farm that contains seasonally grown foods.
Try and have one salad everyday. Cottage cheese is also good.
Anything that grows in natural sunlight and with pure water and earth in generally good. Try and have organic milk.
My favourite breakfast food for years has been muesli with milk and honey, some fruit such as strawberries or dried fruit with some yoghurt on top. I may sprinkle some wheat germ, hemp seeds and flax seeds on top. I try and have lots of fruit during the day such as organic apples, bananas, grapes, dates, oranges, apricots, peaches. There is always lots of fruit in my house. In the evening I have anything from a ratatouille, soup, potato pancakes, and vegetarian Indian foods. Its great to be creative and have something different each day of the week. Eating healthy takes a lot of skill and experience.
I also have a special drink in the mornings that contains a lot of nutrition.

A balanced lifestyle is the key to health

You will see wonderful results in your life. Once youre done with anxiety and depression you can have the occasional chocolate bar or the occasional drink. You can add some rajasic food to create a little bit of spice in your life if you are couple. Why do you think Rabbits are always having sex? Its because they eat celery and carrots- high rajasic aphrodisiacs. Look at how strong and peaceful elephants, cows and horses are. Well what foods to they eat? They are all vegetarians and they all eat Satvic food.

Have fun and good luck!
